Family Reading in EYFS

To celebrate the learning from our mini topic 'Traditional Tales' and World Book Day our F2 children had a fantastic afternoon reading with their parents. We were joined by Jyoti from Leicester Libraries who modeled how to engage the children in reading before all of the parents found a quiet area of the classroom to read with the children. The parents were fantastic and it was great to see the children engrossed in books. We finished the afternoon by acting out our oral stories of Little Red Riding Hood and The Three Billy Goats Gruff. Fun was had by all!
