The Queen's Platinum Jubilee Celebrations

This week, we have worked to make the Quenn's Platinum Jubilee a celebration to remember for us all. 

Lots of children have made hats, flags and other decorations and these have made our classrooms look fabulous! 

In the afternoons, each class has practiced singing a song a different decade over the last 70 years and drawn a portrait of the Queen from different times in her life. The work produced has been outstanding, using a range of artistic techniques. 

The week has ended with our red, white and blue celebration street party.  This morning, everyone wrote a biography about Queen Elizabeth II, so that we understood all about the key events in her life. This afternoon we celebrated all together. We danced, sang and enjoyed the Queen’s amazing achievement and made it a party to remember!
