R.E Week

It is R.E. week at Woodstock with all of our children having the opportunity to visit a place of worship over the year. 

This week year 3 children have visited the Guru Nanak Gurdwara in Leicester learning about the Sikh faith.

Year 5 visited, Nagarjuna Kadampa Meditation Centre in Leicester as part of their work on Buddhism where the children took part in a variety of activities including acting out a story. 

Year 1 had a wonderful morning at St Luke's Church where they found out about the history of the church building and the key symbols of the Christian faith. They listened to why Harvest and sharing is important and found out where the donations, that we have been bringing into school, are going. The members of the Church helped us do some lovely activities and made us feel really welcome. Reverend Rob spent lots of time answering all of our questions.
