Year 4 Kingswood 2023

Posted on: 31/03/2023

Year 4 had a fantastic residential trip to Kingswood! The children were pushed to their limits but we came, we saw and we conquered our fears! Year 4 were brilliant ambassadors for our school and showed resilience throughout. We started off our trip with bushcraft and firelighting activities and some of our groups explored the wildlife in the ponds. After dinner, children took part in the scrap heap challenge (we had to dress up one of our team members as a dinosaur) before showing our dance moves at the disco. We had a jam-packed day two. We took on: high adrenaline zip lines; created our own Flintstones inspired buggies during a buggy build task; tested our accuracy in archery - with lots of children managing to hit a bullseye! The remaining groups explored the ponds and used classification keys to identify all sorts of wildlife! We reflected on our trip during the evening activities and competed against the other teams in campfire songs. We enjoyed marshmallows and a hot chocolate before bed. On the final day, we took on problem solving activities before conquering the high ropes! We are so proud of our children. Well done year 4!
