Champions of Reading

Posted on: 17/09/2018

Reading is a real focus at Woodstock this year and we want to reward those children who take time to develop their reading outside of school. To support this initiative we have created the Reading Champions competition. All children have now received a reading diary to record their reading at home. Children need to read to an adult, or perhaps an older brother or sister, at least three times a week and get their diary signed with a comment. At the end of the week, the class with the most completed reading diaries will earn points towards a fantastic half termly prize. Furthermore, every month, we will be rewarding star readers with a reading goodie bag. For more information about how you can support your child with reading, please contact Mrs Rid through the school office.
